Cornell University

NSF I-Corps Short Courses are geared toward researchers interested in exploring the market potential of their work and learning entrepreneurial skills. While exploring your current project, you’ll learn to apply the same process to other technologies – now and in your future career.

Participants in this program will learn how to acquire and apply information from the marketplace to more successfully commercialize technology or other discoveries to solve problems that potential customers experience. The program will develop your skills for conducting Customer Discovery interviews and applying the insights gained from those to begin developing a viable business model.

If you work with a team, the whole team can participate in the Short Course. Teams already working with industry mentors stand to maximize their experience in the Short Course, but a mentor is not required.

At the end of each two-week Short Course, teams will have conducted customer interviews and will have clear plans for taking the next steps. Short Course participation is a great way to get connected with the nation-wide NSF I-Corps network of mentors, Sites, Nodes, and programming. If you think your research has commercial potential, register now.
