Prohibition on Lab-Based Experimental Work from Home

Message to Researchers from Vice President for Reseach and Associate Provost Ryne Raffaelle:

We continue to applaud your efforts to execute on your research program during this challenging time.  However, one word of caution.  You should not attempt to convey any university research equipment or materials to your homes unless you have received expressed written authorization to do so by your dean and the VPR.  In general, researchers are asked to refrain from doing any non-computer based experimental activities from home. If you feel strongly that you could safely engage in a non-computer based experimental activity from home due to benign nature of the activity, and that activity is essential at this time, we ask that you request and receive permission from your dean and the VPR before doing so. If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Stay Safe.
