Recent studies show the high-paying jobs of the future are “hybrid” jobs, requiring complex sets of skills from different—often opposite—fields. Professionals in almost every non-data-centric field are being asked to add data analysis and and statistics skills to make data-driven, analytical decisions in order to move into more strategic roles.

Hybrid roles are projected to grow twice as fast as jobs overall (21% vs 10% over the next decade). These high-complexity jobs are growing at twice the rate of the overall job market, they are 20 – 40% higher-paying than their more single-focus counterparts, and they are on the rise in every domain of business.

RIT’s Advanced Certificate in Applied Statistics is a flexible online graduate-level credential designed for students from varied professional and academic backgrounds. Professionals in fields like marketing, finance, insurance, engineering, technology, and more will get a solid education in statistical methods they can apply to their work.

With this credential, you’ll gain the skills you need to apply to your job immediately, and to increase your value and marketability in today’s data-rich environment. In his 12-credit program you will take two core courses and choose two electives to customize your study in a particular area of focus.

While the Advanced Certificate in Applied Statistics is a stand-alone, graduate-level credential, it also serves as a foundation for the MS Applied Statistics. The 12 credits/four courses will count toward your master’s degree, and you may not need to re-apply.

Applications may be submitted any time during the year. For priority consideration, please submit all application materials a minimum of 6 weeks prior to your intended start date.
