The Project Management MicroMasters is a graduate level learning experience* designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills needed to be a successful project manager in any industry. This online sequence is a semester’s worth of work and consists of three offerings and a final capstone exam. Earning the MicroMasters will showcase your understanding of project management techniques and tools. You will develop the leadership skills needed to effectively manage a team that will meet the expectations of your customers and business goals. Build on your MicroMasters by applying to RIT’s School of Individualized Study for a customized master’s degree.

*The Micromasters credential is not a master’s degree. It is a credential granted by RITx for outstanding performance in graduate-level online course work. For many learners, it can be a step toward earning an RIT master’s degree.

You will learn how to:
  • Apply the project management life cycle from initiation through closing by using effective tools and techniques.
  • Utilize the project management tradeoffs of time, cost and scope to meet customer expectations.
  • Employ project management best practices across a variety of industries and businesses.
  • Understand leadership and behavioral facets that lead to project success.
  • Recognize and appreciate the social and cultural aspects, legal and regulatory practices, and technology and infrastructure that influence a project’s success in the global market
