Overview
The College of Science at the Rochester Institute of Technology is searching for its next dean. The College of Science is a campus leader in research and Ph.D. education and a provider of significant components for all RIT students' general education curriculum and foundational courses in science and mathematics.
Students are prepared for the challenges of today's highly technical world through a diverse curriculum spanning traditional and cutting-edge technologies in mathematics, biology, chemistry, physics, imaging, and color science. From the start, students in the College of Science work in modern labs–with equipment found in professional settings–building skills in the field and through real-world experiences that set them apart from their peers. They engage in undergraduate research with faculty and experience hands-on learning through co-ops and internships.
The College of Science also serves as the center of mathematics and science education for students enrolled in the college's degree programs and all majors at RIT. It continues to grow research, creates new innovative programs, and provides students with an educational experience to help them succeed in their careers and develop into innovators who can effect positive change in the world.
