Many RIT and community groups contribute to the success of the garden. Below are some of our recent contributors. Thank you to all!
Thomas Barnes, Luke Schwarting and his Science in the Garden team, and Mike Stojkovic (Better Me) for funding: Gravel piles are available at the garden, and drainage ditches will be dug this spring. If you want to help, it's good for the brain!
Dr. Sophia Maggelakis, Dean of COS: A small grant has been provided to develop part of the garden into an outdoor classroom. This will include more picnic benches, a rain/shade structure, and season extension materials (hoops and covers for raised beds), materials for another 6 raised beds, as well as some much-needed tools.
Midnight Oil and others: We are exploring the possibility of composting coffee grounds to remove them from the waste stream. With so much coffee being made on campus each day, we should have no shortage!
