Qiao serves as chair for microelectronic and optoelectronic manufacturing conference
Jie Qiao, associate professor in the Chester F. Carlson Center for Imaging Science, served as conference chair for the Conference on Laser Applications in Microelectronic and Optoelectronic Manufacturing XXVII during the 2022 SPIE Photonics West conference held Jan. 25-26 in San Francisco. She developed the scientific program along with her co-chairs Aiko Zarazaki from Japan and Laura Gemini from France. Qiao’s group also presented a paper at the conference titled “Comparative study of Nd:YAG waveguide lasers inscribed with visible and near-IR femtosecond laser sources.”
