Takacs presents at ACS conference

Gerald Takacs, professor of chemistry, gave a virtual presentation on “Surface Modification of Polybenzimidazole (PBI) with Ozone and UV Photo-oxidation” at the Fall 2020 National Meeting of the American Chemical Society (ACS). The paper was co-authored by Devon Shedden ’19 BS/MS (chemistry); Kristen Margaret Atkinson, a fourth-year BS/MS chemistry student; Ibrahim Cissê ’19 (environmental science), a sustainable systems graduate student; and Shin Lutondo ’18 (chemistry). In addition, Tyshawn Roundtree, an Eastridge High School student, and Michilena Teixeira, a student at MCC, received ACS SEED funding to work on the research project and were also co-authors.
