Kirk Wu is a painter, printmaker, and illustrator. He is an interdisciplinary mixed media artist that loves being at the mercy of the mediums he uses. His subject matters often explore the odd and surreal with work that gravitates towards the uncanny. Finding comfort within strangeness, he seeks to explore concepts involving both grounded and otherworldly. His approach to these concepts is through the balance of reality and abstraction. Through mark-making and unconventional ideas he captures his sliver of truth.
