Valentine’s Day the RIT Way

Valentine’s Day the RIT Way

RIT Students Spread the Love

Today, RIT students kicked off Valentine’s Day with tons of festive activities! If you walked through the SAU, you probably noticed lots of red and pink decorated tables where students were doing all kinds of activities from taking pictures, coloring valentines, and eating CHOCOLATE!

Artesano was booming (as usual) today, selling delicious decorated heart shaped cookies and the #RITStudentLife favorite; the chocolate raspberry mousse cups! If you haven’t tasted these yet, you should go get one right now!

While Valentine’s Day is a great opportunity to spend time with your friends, significant other, or with your cat, Mittens, and a box of chocolates, it’s a great reminder of the importance of spreading the love in our community. Here are some cute ways to spread the love this week:

  • Buy/bake some cookies and hand them out in class.
  • Buy someone lunch, coffee, or ice-cream with all of that debit you won’t be able to spend!
  • Leave a sticky note with an encouraging message on someone’s door.
  • Leave a nice comment on someone’s Facebook or Instagram post.
  • Hold the door for someone.
  • Leave a dollar in the vending machine.
  • Leave snacks on your floor’s lounge.
  • Say thank you!
  • Smile!

And let’s not forget some of our favorite #ValentinesDay Tweets:
