Volunteer for Giving Tuesday’s Hunger Project

What better way to celebrate the holiday season?

Giving Tuesday, traditionally held on the Tuesday following #BlackFriday encourages people to volunteer and give back to their local community. The RIT Center for Leadership and Civic Engagement has selected Feeding Children Everywhere, a Florida-based organization, to help facilitate a program that will bring healthy meals to Rochester individuals in need.

Hunger Projects are described as a high-energy, practical and hands-on way for students to make a tangible difference in the fight against local hunger. With music booming, lentils flying and a sea of hairnets, student will work together to create a truly dynamic experience while packaging thousands of meals.

The first annual Rochester Institute of Technology Hunger Project will take place on Tuesday, November 28 from noon to 3 p.m. in the RIT Gordon Fieldhouse. Students interested in volunteering should register online at
