Mud Tug is an annual event hosted by Zeta Tau Alpha sorority and Phi Kappa Psi fraternity. Held behind Grace Watson Hall, teams of 10 compete in a tug of war tournament over pits of mud.
The tournament lasts all day and draws hundreds of participants from the RIT community, including Dr. Destler. The competition includes three different brackets: men’s, women’s and co-ed with each team consisting of 10 starters and two alternates. The winners of each bracket will face each other in the Tug of Champions, determining a single Mud Tug XXI champion.
The event raises funds for the Hillside Family of Agencies in Rochester and the MLD Foundation, and is the one of most successful philanthropy events on campus. Mud Tug always includes plenty of food, great music, and is guaranteed to be great fun for competitors and spectators alike!
Mud Tug XXI is Saturday, September 17, 2016. This year's tournament will be the 21st consecutive year. If you would like to compete in Mud Tug XXI, join the event on facebook for more information!
