Disability Services Office Update (Coronavirus):

To protect the safety of our staff, students, and faculty, the Disability Services Office staff are working remotely and will not be in the office until further notice. We will be available virtually each weekday between 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Please contact the office at dso@rit.edu or reach out directly to a member of our staff.

Registration Checklist
  1. Submit request
    TIP: Be sure to complete all sections of the request form “in your own words”.  We want to know from you; the student, what you need and why. 
  2. Submit documentation
    TIP: Documentation should be recent and should clearly indicate your disability or medical condition and how it is currently affecting you.
  3. Wait to hear back from the DSO
    TIP: If you haven’t received an email within a week of submitting BOTH items above please contact us.  Please note that the DSO will use your RIT email for all correspondence.
  4. Review the adjustments that have been approved for you
    TIP: Contact the DSO as soon as possible if you have concerns.
