Family Orientation
Family members are encouraged to participate in our Family Orientation program. The purpose of Family Orientation is to introduce you to life as an RIT parent, including resources available and how to best support your student throughout their time on campus. Many orientation activities are separate for families and students, but you will have plenty of time to spend with your student as you prepare them for life at RIT.
Family Orientation is on August 21-22; a condensed Family Orientation is held on August 18 for students moving in early for pre-orientation programming. If your student is in NTID or cross-registered RIT/NTID, please visit the NTID website for information on your orientation programs. Family Orientation highlights include:
Pre-Family Orientation
Regular Family Orientation
Tuesday - Wednesday, August 21-22 (for all other incoming students)
Tuesday events
Wednesday events
More information will be available on the Parent & Family Programs website in May.
Connecting to RIT Wifi
When arriving at RIT, you'll have access to Wifi with your student's username/password login. However, if your student hasn't set up their account yet, guest Wifi is available for your use!
