    RIT Wrestling's Tiger Duals Tournament

    Hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology in the Clark Gymnasium.

    Please join us in our first annual Tiger Dual Meet Tournament!


    Eligibility:      Athletes grades 7-12.

    • *Selectively Classified 7th or 8th graders who were eligible to participate at the JV or Varsity Level during the 2017-18 Wrestling Season. 
    • Weight Classes:  100, 106, 113, 120, 127, 134, 141, 148, 155, 167, 182, 195, 225, 285

    Schedule:  

    • May 18th-Weigh In Option 1 will be from 6-7:30pm in the Clark Gym
    • May 19th-Weigh In Option 2 will be from 7-8am in the Wrestling Room below the Clark Gym
    • Coaches Meeting at 8:30 am in the Wrestling Room below Clark Gym.
    • Wrestling Begins at 9am.
    • Round 1:  9am Matches 1-6
    • Round 2:  10:30am Matches 7-12
    • Round 3:  12pm Matches 13-18
    • Round 4:  1:30pm Matches 19-24
    • Round 5:  3pm Matches 25-30
    • Round 6:  4:30pm Matches 31-36
    • Round 7:  6pm Matches 37-42

     

    Tournament Format: 

    • 16 teams Championship Format
    • Each Team will get 5 matches.
    • Matches will consist of three, 1:30 periods.

     

    Rules: 

    1. NFHS Rules-Must have a mouth guard if you have braces, head gear optional.
    2. Folkstyle
    3. Each team should consist of 15 Starters, 4 alternates, and 1 table helper.
    4. Certified NYS Officials will be used.

     

    Awards:  Team Champions will receive Champions T-shirts

    Line-ups/Rosters:  Securing your teams participation will involve registering on line.  Once you have paid and registered, your athletes will be able to fill out insurance information under your team’s roster online.  You will be able to edit and adjust your teams line-up until Thursday May 17th (this is critical so that we can effectively insure the tournament).

    Team Entry Fee:  $500 (Done online by the Coach who secures the teams placement in the tournament).

    Spectators Fee: $5 per family (Cash only at the door).

    Concessions will be available throughout the day.
