Camp Director
Katie Post is an RIT Cheerleading alumni from 2006-2010, acting as captain as a junior from 2008-2010. In 2010, she auditioned for a semi-pro team and became a cheerleader and choreographer for the Impact Diamonds. Post has held the crown for Regional Ms. Sunburst in the New York area.
She came to RIT with vast experience starting with youth cheerleading in 1994. She cheered herself all the way through high school, being on varsity since she was a seventh grader. By ninth grade, Post had become captain and continued by earning MVP for multiple seasons. She has not quit her cheerleading career and continues to compete on an adult team where she continues to practice her skills.
In her professional life, Post opened her own dance studio and an all-star cheerleading team in 2009. She has had many students hold regional titles, won multiple bids for national competitions, and coaches nationally ranked teams winning several choreography and entertainment awards. Post has taken master classes with choreographers such as Kelli Wagner, one of the Buffalo Jill's choreographers. In addition, she choreographed and worked competitions for both COA brand and Shout and Cheer Dance. As a NYSCJA certified cheerleading official, Post has judged various sections across New York. She is also a USASF panel and safety judge.
Entering her fourth season as the head coach for the Tigers, formerly the assistant coach, under Post the team has achieved multiple first place victories and ranked within the top three of several local competitions. She has led the team to two appearances in the prestigious NCA College Nationals. This past season the Tigers were ranked 11th in the national in their division and took fourth place in their subdivision. She has taken the program from a primarily game time sideline team to now a competitive team that is working hard to crack the top ten at nationals.
