    Hosted by the Rochester Institute of Technology in the Gordon Field House 

    Please join us in our first annual Tiger Classic Tournament!


    Eligibility:      

    • Male and female athletes in grades K-8.  Athletes must have proof of age/grade via a school report card to show if challenger.  Challenger must show proof as well. 
    • Weight Classes (14):  55, 60, 65, 70, 75, 80, 85, 90, 95, 100, 110, 120, 135, HTW (165 max)

    Schedule: (at the Gordon Field House)

    • Weigh in Saturday, December 7th 7-8 pm or Sunday, December 8th 8:00-8:45 am 
    • Coaches meeting at 9:30 am 
    • Wrestling Begins at 10am in the RIT Gordon Field House (use D Lot for parking)

    Tournament Format:

    • 32 teams, grade based, dual meet tournament
    • Trackwrestling will be utilized for pairing and matside scoring
    • Each team will be given (3) free admission passes for the Head coach, Assistant Coach, and a table worker.

    Rules:

    • N.Y.S. modified high school rules with NYSPHSAA certified varsity officials to be utilized for all duals and exhibitions matches.  Wrestlerse allowed to bump up 1 weight class and can only compete on one team.  NFHS modified overtime rules in affect.  One minute neutral then sudden victory 30 second ride out.  

    Periods:  K-8th 60:60:60

    Scoring:  6pt forfeit or injury default, 6pt fall, 5pt Tech-fall, 4pt Major Dec & 3pt Dec


    Awards:  Team Champions will receive an award.

    Line-ups/Rosters:  

    • Securing your teams participation will involve registering online.  
    • Once you have paid and registered, your athletes will be able to fill out a registration to provide waiver and insurance information here.  All athletes participating must complete this online registration process.  
    • You will be able to edit and adjust your teams line-up until November 24th (this is critical so that we can effectively insure the tournament).

    Team Entry Fee:  $400 

    • All team registration and payments must be done online by the coach securing the team's placement in the tournament.  
    • Online payment is done with a Visa/MasterCard.  If for any reason you need to pay by check, you must register and contact Jason Bovenzi to arrange payment.  Checks can be made payable to "RIT Wrestling Camps" and must be received by the date of the event.  

    Spectators Fee: $5 adults, $3 children, children 5 and below are FREE (Cash only at the door).

    Concessions will be available throughout the day.
