The Outstanding Graduate Woman Achievement Award

The Office of Graduate Education is pleased to announce the Outstanding Graduate Woman Achievement Award. The award will be presented at the 2020 Women's Career Achievement Dinner in Spring 2020.

The Outstanding Graduate Woman Achievement Award will recognize a current, active, enrolled female graduate student, in good academic standing, who has shown exceptional dedication to a specific program, activity, organization, or project at the Rochester Institute Technology and/or in the greater Rochester community. The graduate student’s commitment to this activity must have resulted in a positive impact for students at RIT or individuals in the Rochester Community.

Each department or college is invited to nominate women graduate students at the master’s or doctoral level. From these nominations, a selection committee will choose a recipient. The Outstanding Graduate Woman Achievement Award will be presented by the Dean of Graduate Education at the Spring Women’s Achievement Dinner.  The award winner will receive a cash prize and an engraved award.

A complete nomination packet will consist of:

  • The student curriculum vita (CV).  The CV should show evidence of exceptional dedication to a specific program, activity, organization, or project at the Rochester Institute Technology and/or in the greater Rochester community.
  • A completed nomination form from an RIT faculty or staff member.
  • One letter in support of the nomination emphasizing the accomplishments associated with the criterion of the award. This letter can come from someone internal or external to RIT.

The deadline for nominations is TBD.
