This is a problem for all of us. Whether you have been a victim of sexual assault or know someone who is, support and consultation services are available.
Touching someone in an unwanted, sexual way is a simple way to describe something that is quite complicated. Anyone can be a victim. Many people are familiar with the term “rape” and what it means. However, there are many other offenses that also fit the definition of sexual assault. Laws surrounding sexual assault vary from state to state. In most states the following are considered acts of sexual assault:
