Description: When it comes to sustainability, environmental issues, the effects of climate change, and even living a “greener lifestyle,” people in the USA have radically different experiences based on their class, race, ethnicity, gender, and sexual orientation. Peterson Toscano will guide participants through activities and discussions to unearth and explore ways the environmental movement can be more aware of and engaged in social justice work. Discover how climate change work can be more accessible and relevant to a wider audience. Explore how you can deeper the work you do within an intersectional framework. Come away with fresh ideas of how to communicate your values and find common ground with others already engaged in social change. Using storytelling, comedy, and interactive discussion, Peterson will help you better understand the vital role of environmental justice in the work we do.
