Tim Volkmann named director of RIT Athletics Communications
Tim Volkmann, a 22-year veteran of intercollegiate athletics, has been named director of RIT Athletics Communications. Volkmann will be responsible for developing the promotional strategy for 24 Tiger sports, as well as administering the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Communications office.

RIT Men’s Hockey finds new home for TV, streaming broadcasts
RIT Men’s Hockey fans will have new ways to watch games during the 2019-2020 season. The team’s 17 regular season home games will be aired live locally on WBGT my18 and all games hosted by Atlantic Hockey teams will be available to stream via FloHockey.tv.

RIT alumnus Ryan Steenberg ’17 MFA (medical illustration) can drive a golf ball the length of nearly five football fields. Steenberg, the No. 1-ranked long drive hitter in the world, will represent his hometown July 20 to 24 in the “ROC City Rumble,” part of World Long Drive’s 2019 Tour.

For the first time in five years, the RIT bowling team clinched a trip to the United States Bowling Congress Intercollegiate Team Championships. The team will travel to Dayton, Ohio for the championships, held on April 17 to 20.
