10th Anniversary Events
The celebratory events include monthly guest lectures (Design Conversations), special presentations (Design Observations), exhibits and more. *Please note that some of the events are canceled or postponed. These actions are being taken to mitigate the potential spread of 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19).
The events during the 2019-20 academic year were scheduled to culminate in a 10th anniversary celebration in May 2020 at New York City's Saint Peter's Lutheran Church, a Vignelli-designed masterwork from 1977. However, due to COVID-19, the programming at the church has been postponed with the goal of rescheduling for a future date.
Below is a digital delivery of two parts of the event: a slideshow highlighting the Vignellis' legacy and first 10 years of the Vignelli Center and the RIT Metaproject initiative's 2019-20 partnership with the Center. In what was also Metaproject's 10th year, Industrial Design students in the annual course created products around their own definition of timelessness.
