We invite you to the Center for Teaching and Learning’s fourth Summer Institute for Teaching and Learning,
which runs from Wednesday, May 13 to Friday, May 15, 2026.
This annual event hosted by The Center for Teaching and Learning serves as a celebration of teaching and learning here at RIT, providing a platform for faculty members to engage in enriching discussions, share innovative ideas, and inspire one another.
This year, we are doubling down on opportunities to hear from RIT faculty on all things related to teaching and learning – with a record number of submissions and sessions for you to reflect on – there is something for everyone!
This year’s faculty conference features more of the things you have asked for. More hands-on workshops, more panels, more student voices and more opportunities to network with fellow faculty and staff.
Conference Highlights
Concurrent Sessions
Workshops, presentations, roundtable discussions and panel discussions led by RIT faculty and renowned experts, covering topics such as Engaging Learning Experiences, Teaching with Technology, and Advancing Faculty Success.
myCourses Buildathon
Join a half-day, hands-on session focused on building and refining your myCourses experience. Connect with student-recognized “faculty power users” and learn practical strategies to enhance your course design.
Provost’s Learning Innovation Grant Showcase
A poster showcase of faculty projects funded by Provost's Learning Innovative Grants highlighting cutting-edge approaches to teaching and learning.
Panel Discussion with Award Winning Teachers
This session features four distinguished recipients of various RIT awards for Excellence in Teaching who will explore the evolution of their careers in higher education and at RIT.
Panel Discussion with myCourses Power Users
Join a panel of recognized expert faculty users who will explore their design processes and features of student experience within our learning management system.
This conference is free and open to faculty and staff. Whether you are a seasoned educator, new to the field, or curious about these topics and their impact, we encourage you to participate and contribute to this vibrant exchange of ideas.
