Introducing: Industry Consortium For AI Research Workshop

This April, Saunders College of Business is hosting a two-day AI workshop that will bring together leading researchers from academia and industry to explore cutting-edge developments in AI and their translation to real-world applications.

This interactive event will feature distinguished keynote speakers and informative sessions focused on advancing the crucial partnership between academic research and industrial innovation.

Saunders is blending traditional business principles with AI tools, topics, and technologies to create forward thinking curricula that equip graduates to not just succeed, but lead in a technology-driven landscape.

Courses like Accounting Information and Analytics, Stock Market Algorithmic Trading, Business Ethics, and Technology and the Future of Work have been revised to incorporate the latest advancements in AI, with additional course revisions ongoing. New offerings like AI in Finance are being developed to further strengthen this mission.

AI For Business Panelist

Victor Perotti joined the Rochester Business Journal’s virtual panel "AI for Business." The panel covered emerging trends and challenges in artificial intelligence, offering insights into its impact on business policies and practices.

Conference Co-Chairs

Manlu Liu and Ali Tosyali co-chaired the Workshop on e-Business, held in conjunction with the International Conference on Information Systems. The theme was "AI Innovations in e-Business: Exploring Trends, Challenges, and Prospects."

ICIS Conference Honors

A paper by John Tu,  Quang Bui, and RIT China and Saunders students won ICIS Conference Honors. The paper builds on Tu and Bui’s research grant, “Online Communities in the Age of AI: Evidence from China and the U.S.”

AI Task Force Member

Manlu Liu was named to the RIT AI Task Force, which helped the university arrive at recommendations for best practices and ethical approaches that we can carry forward within our institution and as a higher education leader. The AI Task Force completed its final report in April 2024.

Spearheading AI Research

Ali Tosyali published a co-authored article, “Explainable Artificial Intelligence for Mental Disorder Screening: A Computational Design Science Approach," in the Journal of Management Information Systems.
