Writing Your Resume or CV Interactive Workshop

This workshop will help you build your resume and curriculum vitae (CV). Speakers will discuss what should be included on a resume and a CV and how to format and organize the content. Along with the presentation, you will have the opportunity to work on your resume and CV and get help and advice from RIT staff.

Bring your computer, your current CV or resume, and a sample job description for a position you are interested in applying for.

Snacks and coffee will provided to assist you in your writing!

This workshop is reserved for graduate students.

Writing Cover Letters Interactive Workshop

When: February 15, 2024, 3:30 pm–5:00 pm
Where: Golisano Hall, CYB 1710

The cover letter is an important component of your job application. This workshop will discuss what a cover letter is, why it is important, determining content, strategies for organization, and letter format.

Julian Huenerfauth from Career Services will help you craft your cover letter based on your experience and the position you are applying for. Along with the presentation, you will have the opportunity to work on your cover letter and get help and advice from RIT staff.

RIT set to host the a2ru 2024 national conference in November

RIT is set to welcome researchers and educators from across the U.S. and North and South America during the 2024 a2ru national conference. The conference will take place Nov. 14-16, and session proposals are being accepted online with a deadline of March 15 to submit.

RIT professor’s paper on perovskites’ self-healing properties published in ‘Nature Communications’

Kirmani’s research is helping to expand and improve space exploration through understanding how the metal-halide perovskite, the next-generation printable semiconductor, reacts to harsh extraterrestrial conditions and self-heals in those conditions.

STEM degrees, co-ops draw international students

RIT doctoral student Lilian Neim is on the leading edge of research in neuromorphic photonics technology that will make artificial intelligence processing more efficient and higher functioning.

Neim, who is from United Arab Emirates and has earned a master’s degree in engineering from RIT, works closely with her adviser and fellow students in the university’s microsystems engineering Ph.D.program to hone in on her specialty.

Researcher bridges biology and computing with processing in DNA storage

Amlan Ganguly, computer engineering department head in RIT’s Kate Gleason College of Engineering, and researchers at the University of Minnesota, designed a microfluidic integrated circuit to perform complex operations through artificial neural network computations on data stored in DNA.

Their biocomputing design is a breakthrough that builds on innovative DNA engineering and computing system advances.
