Into the ROC: College Night at the Strong Museum of Play

When: Friday, February 9, 2024, 7:45 pm–12:00 am
Where: Strong Museum of Play (Bus leaves from the Sentinel)

Explore more than a city block of interactive exhibits, play your way through the history of electronic games and pinball machines, and journey through childhood favorites such as Sesame Street and Wegmans Super Kids Market. Don't miss the chance to explore all of the new and exciting changes!

Tickets must be purchased separately and are $13 in advance, $15 at the door.

IdeaLab: Spring 2024 Registration

IdeaLab is a program designed to link unique problems and challenges with creative and technical problem solvers at RIT. Our aim is to provide opportunities for participants to experience interdisciplinary team collaboration while working on real life problems (in similar ways practiced in the industry) to create solutions to issues faced by people with varing abilities. The program is held twice a year over one weekend. Work on successful solutions may be further developed into product or service prototypes, and potentially new businesses. Please reserve the following times for the IdeaLab:
  • Saturday, February 10th 
  • Sunday, February 11th

The cover letter is an important component of your job application. This workshop will discuss what a cover letter is, why it is important, determining content, strategies for organization, and letter format.

Human-sensing AI Hackathon

Facilitator: Ferat Sahin, Ph.D., Department Head, Electrical and Microelectronic Engineering

During the hackathon, graduate students will create a deployable AI system that exemplifies the principles of human awareness and responsibility and demo what they created.

NASA, RIT Center for Detectors partner to help future spacecraft survive longer, harsher missions

Rochester Institute of Technology’s Center for Detectors has been chosen by NASA for two research programs: Early Stage Innovations (ESI) and Strategic Astrophysics Technology (SAT), with the hope of helping future spacecraft find new discoveries in the vast universe.

‘U.S. News & World Report’ ranks RIT’s Executive MBA degree program among nation’s best

Rochester Institute of Technology has again been recognized for offering one of the best online programs in the nation. The 2024 U.S. News & World Report Best Online Programs rankings, released this week, listed Saunders College of Business’ online Executive MBA program as tied for No. 9 in the nation for “Best Online MBA Programs.”
