Dr. Mark Shaw is a Distinguished Technologist and Strategist at HP. He has a B.Sc. in Graphic Media Studies from the UK, M.Sc. in Color Science from RIT, and a PhD in ECE from Purdue University, specializing in Signal and Image Processing. The meeting is reserved for doctoral students.

Thriving in the Consulting Industry – A Roadmap to Success

When: Friday, October 13, 2023, 1:00 PM - 3:00 PM
Where: Max Lowenthal Hall (LOW) - 1135

This workshop will focus on consulting careers at McKinsey & Company and cover the life of a consultant, entry points for students, McKinsey within the consulting ecosystem, and how to successfully navigate the interview process. While this event is targeted toward students in business majors, all are welcome!

Engineering technology faculty member uses ChatGPT as a modern ‘teaching assistant’

Clark Hochgraf has been named the faculty associate for artificial intelligence in RIT’s College of Engineering Technology (CET). In his new role, the associate professor of electrical and computer engineering technology will assist CET faculty as they learn more about the capabilities of generative AI to improve student learning in courses.

Fall semester brings plentiful opportunities for international exchanges

As part of RIT’s ongoing commitment to academic and cultural exchanges, several cohorts of international students, including those from Ireland, Germany, and Indonesia, visited campus this fall. The visits were spearheaded, in part, by RIT Global, which has developed partnerships with nearly 100 countries, in addition to campuses in China, Croatia, Dubai, and Kosovo.

Fall 2023-Summer 2024 Graduate Student Job Opening

The Dean’s Office at RIT’s College of Liberal Arts seeks two graduate students to work on the RIT Cornerstone initiative. In collaboration with two faculty members and a postdoctoral research associate, the graduate student scholar will:

  • Conduct Cornerstone-related research

  • Design and implement Cornerstone activities

  • Develop multimedia resources for the Cornerstone website

Review will begin on Friday, October 6, 2023, and continue until the positions are filled.
