The deadline to submit your 3MT talk (Zoom or YouTube link) and presentation slide for the 2026 Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition is October 9, 2026. The competition is open to current RIT PhD students who have passed their qualifying exam or are in their third year of study or greater. Visit the 3MT competition page for details and to submit.

For over thirty years, the Information Institute (II) has consistently and commendably facilitated United States Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) engagement with world-class university researchers, including faculty, graduate students, and post-doctoral appointees. This talk will introduce the II, the opportunities and programs it offers those interested in collaborative research and development aligned with the AFRL Information and Spectrum Warfare Directorate’s Core Technology Competencies, and next steps towards engagement.

'The Pitt' is on the curriculum at RIT. Dr. Daniel Taramasco, an RIT alumnus, teaches “Is The Pitt Legit?” to pre-med/health students and fans of the show. The class explores medical ethics and accuracy in the popular HBO Max medical drama.

Elsevier has an entire Researcher Academy that provides free e-learning modules to navigate as part of a defined learning path.  These are reasonably short and very topical modules that faculty and graduate students alike might pop into, browse module titles, and listen to a few here and there as they don’t require as long of a commitment.
