Accomplishments from Saunders Students

  • Olivia McDonald ‘25 (accounting) and Ryan Steubing, ‘12 (HSPS), '23 (MBA) have won selective CMA Exam Scholarships, which allows them to take an exam to become certified management accountants for free.
  • Matt Stasik ‘24 (accounting and finance) presented a project titled “Do Critical Audit Matters Matter?” at the Undergraduate Research Symposium this summer.
  • Danny Lee ‘23 (finance) completed an internship at Capital One as part of their Management Internship Program. As he's entering his final year at Saunders, he joins The Leadership Academy @ Saunders as the chief academy officer.
  • Manee Souphavanh ‘23 (hospitality) won the 2022-2023 Statler Foundation Scholarship of Excellence, worth $25,000. This prestigious scholarship is awarded to students who excel in hospitality management programs and demonstrate exceptional leadership.

Saunders Faculty and Staff Go Above and Beyond

  • James Santa, Ph.D., a management information systems professor, has become the director of the curriculum at Common Mission Project.
  • Jesse Redlo, Ed.D., professor of management information systems and marketing principles, will be giving a TED Talk at the upcoming TEDxNazarethCollege event. The theme of the event is centered around how disciplines and professions will likely be different in 2030, with Professor Redlo’s presentation entitled: “Fostering Mental Health in the Workplace.”
  • Rich DeJordy, Ph.D., will be joining the Saunders College of Business as the new department chair of management in January 2023. He is extraordinarily experienced within his field in both industry and academia, having served as a faculty member at Craig School of Business at California State University, D’Amore-McKim School of Business at Northeastern University, and published in top journals.

  • Rhyse Nier ‘19 (finance and accounting) passed his CMA exam and started working as a financial analyst for ZwitterCo, a wastewater management filtration startup in Boston, MA.
  • Prithvi Madhukar ‘18 (business administration) published a novel titled Zero to Four Figures: Lessons Learned by a Broke CEO, following the first three years of her entrepreneurship journey and challenging what the definition of success means, incorporating lessons she learned along the way.
