About Character Mosaic

We're passionate about bringing characters to life through innovative design and compelling storytelling.

Originally started in 2017, the goal of the Character Mosaic project is to build ethnically diverse 3D characters to address the lack of minority representation in animated films. Providing students and the animation community with a more diverse group of pre-rigs will hopefully lead to the creation of more diverse stories.

All creative work on the Mosaic project is completed by students and faculty in the School of Film and Animation at the Rochester Institute of Technology.
