Men fall to Mercyhurst in regular-season finale
The men’s hockey team dropped its final game of the regular season 3-2 to Mercyhurst on Saturday. RIT finishes fifth in the Atlantic Hockey standings and will head to Mercyhurst for a best-of-three quarterfinal series starting March 11.

Despite a wild third-period rally by the women’s hockey team, the Tigers couldn’t make up the three-goal deficit, falling 3-2 to Penn State in game two of the College Hockey America First Round series on Saturday.

Men’s lacrosse starts 2016 with convincing win
The No. 3 men’s lacrosse team began 2016 in style, defeating No. 7 Stevenson University 18-9 on Saturday. Junior Ryan Lee tallied a career-high eight goals to lead a potent RIT attack. The Tigers have now won 41 straight regular-season games.

Women’s basketball falls in championships
The women’s basketball team played in its first conference championship game Saturday as the No. 2 seed Tigers took on top-seed Clarkson University. Despite a furious second-half comeback, RIT fell to Clarkson 65-63 in the Liberty League Women’s Basketball Championship.
