Men face Minnesota State in NCAA Midwest Regional
The No. 4 seed men’s hockey team will face Minnesota State University, the No. 1 overall seed in the 2015 NCAA Division I men’s hockey Midwest Regional, at 4 p.m. Saturday at the Compton Family Arena at the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Ind.

Tickets available for NCAA hockey weekend
Tickets are on sale now at the Gene Polisseni Center Box Office in person or by phone. There are also two buses available for students. Saturday’s game against Minnesota will be aired on ESPNU, broadcast by WITR-FM (89.7) and streamed online.

Senior captain Matt Garbowsky was named one of 10 finalists for the 2015 Hobey Baker Award, college hockey’s most prestigious individual honor. The 27-member Selection Committee and fan balloting will determine this year’s winner.

Women put up valiant effort in first NCAA appearance
The women’s hockey team advanced to the NCAA Division I Tournament after winning the CHA Championship for the second straight season. But the Tigers’ postseason run was stopped by top-seed University of Minnesota. It was RIT’s first appearance in the Division I tournament since moving up in 2012.

Tiger Trail underway this week
In non-hockey action, past and present members of the women’s cross country and track and field squads are on a 1,400-mile non-stop relay from Auburn, Ala., to Rochester. Dubbed “The Tiger Trail,” the eight-day endeavor is raising funds and awareness for the national Tigers for Tigers coalition.
