Kevser Ovaz Akpinar (Member, IEEE) received her Ph.D. degree in computer engineering with a major in industrial control systems security from Sakarya University, Turkey, M.Sc. degree in computer science with a major in software defined networks from the University of Texas, San Antonio, USA, and her B.S. Comp. E. from Pamukkale University, Turkey.

She is engaged in many projects, including establishing Turkey's first ICS security testbed. She was awarded "The Young Scientist Award" by Sakarya University, Turkey, in 2019. Currently she holds the position of Assistant Professor in the Computing Security Department where she teaches courses related to cyber security, AI and programming.

Her research interests include AI, big data, vehicular communication, SCADA security, HIDS/NIDS, and ICS protocols.
