Attend Graduate Orientation to learn about RIT Graduate School services, graduate student organizations, and need-to-know resources. The Semester Kickoff is a fun event for new and returning graduate students to celebrate the start of the Fall semester.

Graduate Accepted Student Next Steps - Campus Support Services
Wednesday, June 18 at 9 a.m. (900 hours) ET or 7 p.m. (1900 hours) ET
Representatives from our Student Financial Services (SFS), Student Employment Office (SEO), and the Student Health Center (SHC) will share detailed information and answer your questions about graduate student resources and support services, including: 

•    Tuition Billing and Payment (SFS)
•    Working on Campus (SEO)
•    Immunization/Health History Forms (SHC) 


Graduate Student Need to Know - Your First Weeks at RIT
Wednesday, July 17th at 9 a.m. (0900 hours) or 5 p.m. (1700 hours) ET
Join the RIT Graduate School’s Assistant Dean and student leaders for an overview of Graduate School Orientation, an introduction to graduate student clubs, and a review of resources you’ll need as you transition to life in Rochester. Plenty of time will be left for questions with current students.

We strongly encourage all new graduate students to attend! This interactive session will ensure you know the final steps necessary to prepare for enrollment, and will introduce you to important resources you’ll be utilizing when you arrive in Rochester.

New Graduate Student Checklist

Virtual Orientation

Jumpstart your Orientation experience with our RIT Virtual Orientation. The virtual component of your Orientation experience will provide you with important information, including an introduction to services and resources, to help you successfully launch your RIT journey.

Virtual Orientation Welcome Screen

You must complete all virtual orientation modules before you arrive on campus for your in-person Orientation experience. Feel free to go through this program at your own pace. If you need to take a break, you can log back in at any time and pick up where you left off.

International Student Orientation

Are you an international student? International students have additional requirements and should plan to attend the RIT International Student Services (ISS) orientation in addition to other orientation events. Visit the ISS website and click on the New Students tab on the top left of the page for Pre-Arrival and ISS Orientation information.
