A note from Diane Slusarski, the new associate provost and dean

Greetings and welcome to the 2022-2023 academic year! I am excited to serve as the new associate provost and dean for the graduate school. I arrived on campus 2 weeks ago and spent time settling into my new space, orienting myself to campus along with incoming students—experiencing the joy of meeting so many new faces. I am thrilled to be a part of the community, research, and dynamic experience that is RIT! I will share more about myself, my goals, and mission for graduate education at RIT in the coming months during campus meetings, via the newsletter, and on our website.

It is with great enthusiasm that I head up this new chapter for the Graduate School!

They are launching a mentoring program called “Big Sister / Little Sister.” This program aims to match incoming students “Little Sisters” with current students “Big Sisters.” Based on their selected level of involvement, your Big Sister will help your first-semester experience flow as smoothly as possible.

If you are interested in joining the program, please complete this application as soon as possible.

We look forward to meeting you and hope you enjoy your stay at RIT.
