AWARE-AI NRT: Workshop on Diversity Statements

A workshop on diversity statements, increasingly common in faculty job applications.  Topics and activities will revolve around identifying diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice aspects.  Participants will engage in activities that can be integrated into a diversity statement.

Expanding RIT’s research footprint

RIT has been expanding its research footprint to accommodate the university’s growing research portfolio. The Student Hall for Exploration and Development (SHED), which opens this fall, is enabling the university to convert 10 existing classrooms, totaling more than 23,000 square feet, into new research space. Another 14,700 square feet of research space opened in January in Brown Hall.

RIT researchers to create serious video game for infrastructure resilience to cyberattacks

Researchers at Rochester Institute of Technology are building a serious video game to help cities prepare for, prevent, and respond to cyberattacks. RIT received a more than $600,000 grant and was selected by the Army Cyber Institute (ACI) at West Point to develop the cyber exercise game and a framework for future development.

Students at Rochester Institute of Technology raised more than $8,000 for those impacted by the recent earthquakes in Turkey and Syria. Members of RIT’s Global Union, Muslim Student Association, Student Government, and Spirituality and Religious Life organized events such as selling henna tattoos and baked goods, even shaving their heads live on social media. Students campuswide participated, with most of the donations raised in just three days.

Calling all RIT Students, Staff, and Faculty! Be a part of the 2023 Rochester Fringe Festival!

Registration is now open and with a new look! RIT is proud once again to be a sponsor of the 12th Annual Rochester Fringe Festival.

The 2023 festival will be held from September 12 through 23 and registration is open NOW through March 29.
