Choose a Career

How do you know if a career in health care is right for you? There are a number of resources designed to help you get a better idea. Check out the suggestions below.

As always, we recommend that if you're in school, it is a good idea to meet with your guidance counselor. If you're not in school, you may want to connect with the vocational rehabilitation counselor in your area.

We have compiled a helpful guide of RIT library resources for students interested in health care careers. 

RIT's library website also has a Health Career Resources section with links to a variety of related publications and websites.

There also are numerous captioned videos on health care careers that you can review.

The Association of Medical Professionals with Hearling Loss (AMPHL) has developed a list of health care related programs

The website PhysicalTherapists.com has a wonderful informational section on careers in health care.

You can also visit the "Getting Started" section of the Explore Health Careers website to help answer some questions about whether a career in health care is right for you.
