How does a deaf doctor 'hear' my heartbeat? What kind of mask can someone use if they need to watch their colleagues talk? How can technicians know when analystic tests are complete if they can't hear the buzzer?

Adaptive technologies have expanded opportunities for deaf and hard-of-hearing individuals in health care and other careers.
