With inspiration from vintage science fiction and a meticulous eye for detail, Lee Hoag's sculptures are assembled with wood, metal, ceramics, fabric and other mixed materials. Together, they become a strange but appealing family of otherworldly objects, challenging our skills of recognition and imagination.  "My mixed-media assemblage sculptures draw on the limitless capacity of ordinary objects for the poetic."

Lee Hoag is an independent, queer-identifying artist and alumnus of RIT's MST program in Art Education, where he also trained as an ASL Interpreter at RIT's National Technical Institute for the Deaf. His work has appeared in solo and group exhibitions all over Western New York and beyond.
