FEELS: A Global Emotions Visualizer

September 03, 2021–September 25, 2021

digital rendering of FEELS Installation

With so much bad and strange news across social media, how is there so much joy? FEELS gathers and visualizes emotional data from a Twitter API, and manifests as a viewer-interactive and digital/sculptural installation. On view September 3-25 as part of the 2021 Key Bank Rochester Fringe Festival.

FEELS is a project created by Jake Adams, visual artist and founder of Valholo. Adams started developing games and interactive artworks after he left the New York City art scene in search of new mediums and original concepts. He is currently a visiting lecturer in the School of Interactive Games and Media at RIT.
