Teaching with GenAI

Did you know that the CTL offers practical tips and resources to help you navigate teaching with generative AI? Visit our Generative AI in Teaching website, where you'll find recent examples and presentations by RIT faculty, as well as guidance on writing syllabus statements, developing instructional materials, using generative AI in student activities, and addressing concerns about generative AI. The website also links to relevant RIT policies and outside resources.

Faculty Fellow Highlight

Michelle Chabot has served as the Science/Health Sciences Faculty Fellow since the program's inception three years ago. A founding member of the Course Advancement Team during COVID-19, she helped establish the current CTL Faculty Fellows program. Recognized with the 2023 Outstanding Teaching Award for her innovative active learning approaches in technical fields, Michelle now focuses on integrating AI, implementing evidence-based strategies for complex courses, and leveraging technology to enhance education. She offers both workshops and individualized consultations to support faculty needs ranging from quick questions to comprehensive course design.

Grading Paper-based Exams?

Consider using Gradescope! Gradescope is a tool which allows instructors to be more efficient when grading paper-based activities by supporting grading consistency. This tool offers time-saving features for grading hand-written worksheets, problem sets, and exams. Gradescope can also auto-grade programming code against instructor-created test cases.

Share physical objects or handwritten content to in-room screens or remote participants.

Wireless Projection
Share content from devices anywhere in the classroom to in-room screens. Available in select classrooms.

Zoom Room
Connect in-room cameras and microphones to Zoom meetings without the use of an additional device.
