Three Minute Thesis (3MT) logo

The deadline to submit your 3MT talk (Zoom or YouTube link) and presentation slide for the 2026 Three Minute Thesis (3MT®) Competition is October 9, 2026. The competition is open to current RIT PhD students who have passed their qualifying exam or are in their third year of study or greater. Visit the 3MT competition page for details and to submit.

Into the ROC: Flower City Pickers

When: Saturday, August 29, 2026, 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
Where: Rochester Public Market

Join Into the ROC at the Rochester Public Market as we support Flower City Pickers' mission of feeding people, not landfills. Volunteers will help sort, distribute, and deliver food to those who need it most. Free transportation is available, with van transportation departing from the Sentinel Statue at 1:30 p.m. Please wear comfortable clothes that can get dirty, closed-toed shoes, and bring a water bottle.

Resume & CV Writing Workshop for Graduate Students

When: September 3, 2026, 3:30 PM - 5:00 PM 
Where: Cybersecurity Golisano Hall, CYB 1710-30

This workshop will help you build your resume and curriculum vitae (CV). Speakers will discuss what should be included on a resume and a CV and how to format and organize the content. Along with the presentation, you will have the opportunity to work on your resume and CV and get help and advice from RIT staff. Bring your computer, your current CV or resume, and a sample job description that you are interested in applying to.

Lighting the Way
