February Graduate Student Coffee Hour - Send a Postcard Home

When: February 26, 2026, 3:00 pm - 4:00 pm
Where: Crossroads, River Room

Stop by for coffee and conversation, and send a postcard to the ones you love. Family back home will enjoy the pleasant surprise. We’ll cover the cost of postage! Enjoy a brew, engaging discussion, and warm connections. 

Postcards, pens, markers, and directions will be provided. This event is reserved for graduate-level students.

CMOS+X NRT: Journal Club

Where: Engineering Hall, ENG-2560

The NRT CMOS+X Journal Club (JC) meets every first Thursday of the month from 12:30 PM to 1:30 PM in ENG 17-2560. Pizza and drinks are provided! This journal club allows trainees to present on subjects that are of interest to them and learn what fellow peers are studying!

Getting Started with Academic Publishing at RIT

Only four weeks into my journey at RIT as a first-year master’s student, the idea of attending the Writing for Publication Workshop: The Social Practices of Getting Published in Academic Journals initially felt a bit daunting. I worried that my limited research experience might make it difficult to follow along or fully participate.

Ph.D. student recognized for work in optics

Imaging science Ph.D. student Muhammad Akif Qadeer has been awarded the 2025 Harvey M. Pollicove Memorial Scholarship from the Optica Foundation. The award is given to one student each year who shows potential in precision optics manufacturing and lens design.

Researchers have developed a solution to finding a compatible gel medium to host human cells and a device that can print the delicate cells safely.

Title IX Campus Climate Survey

Every two years, Title IX administers the Campus Climate Survey in accordance with New York State Education Law 129-B, also known as Enough is Enough. The anonymous survey allows students to share their experiences, perceptions and knowledge related to sexual misconduct, consent and campus resources.
