Voter Advocacy Network: Volunteer Opportunity

When: March 18, 2026, 11:00 am – 1:00 pm
Where: SAU Lobby

At this event, you will be expected to help folks with voter registration, checking registration, absentee ballot requests, and questions! All of this needs to be done in a nonpartisan fashion.

AWARE-AI: Workshop on Using Storytelling Techniques to Communicate STEM Research

Workshop on Using Storytelling Techniques to Communicate STEM Research: Facilitated by Dr. Ammina Kothari, Dean of the Gwen Ifill School of Media, Humanities, and Social Sciences at Simmons University.
AWARE-AI Trainees and other graduate students will be introduced to storytelling mechanics and data visualization techniques for crafting jargon-free, compelling messages for a broader audience on social media and other official communication channels.

Designing Effective Research Posters with Adobe Express | An Interactive Workshop

Join a member of the Adobe Education team to learn easy ways to transform your research into eye-catching, professional research posters. Shauna Chung will demonstrate how to leverage Adobe Express templates and GenAI tools to quickly format and visualize your data. She will leave behind resources and practical tutorials to help you build or redesign a poster step by step.

RIT researcher studies how exercise could reduce the risk of aneurysm rupture

RIT Professor Zhongwang Dou recently received a prestigious National Science Foundation Faculty Early Career Development (CAREER) award for a five-year project to detail how blood flow within an aneurysm is affected by movement, and how physical exercise might affect the risk of aneurysm rupture.
