RIT Story Slam Registration Spring 2024

Preliminary round: Participants must sign up no later than Friday, April 12, 2024.

Students are invited to participate in a live storytelling competition where they tell a personal, true story inspired by the theme WONDER.

Storytellers who most creatively apply the theme and tell their stories in ways that inspire, amuse, surprise, or captivate will be selected to advance to the final round and compete for a $500 first place prize!

How many children should couples have given ongoing climate change?

Beginning with the work of the now deceased Nobel laureate Gary S. Becker, economists have developed an elaborate theory of fertility that sheds light on a number of salient questions such as how many children couples ought to have, how changes in income and prices impact fertility decisions, and the tradeoff that couples face between the quantity and the quality of children.

RIT game design and development programs ranked among top 10

Rochester Institute of Technology is one of the top 10 universities for students looking to land their dream job as a game designer, according to new international rankings from The Princeton Review.

RIT’s game design and development program was ranked sixth at the undergraduate level and eighth at the graduate level. RIT’s programs are housed in the School of Interactive Games and Media (IGM) within the Golisano College of Computing and Information Sciences.

Graduate students selected as finalists in the 2024 Coca-Cola Refreshing Films program

Two graduate students from RIT’s School of Film and Animation are representing the university as finalists in the 2024 Coca-Cola® Refreshing Films (CCRF) program. Lou Duchin, a film and animation graduate student, and Maria Palmeri, a dual-degree graduate student in film and animation and communication, worked together to create a short branded-spot film for the competition titled How’s The View?

You Are Invited to Participate in a Study: Young Deaf Adults

Join a research study about the experiences of young deaf adults in developing health literacy and accessing healthcare during their childhood. This study has been approved by RIT's Institutional Review Board. 

Looking for participants:

  • Young deaf adults
  • between the ages of 18-25
  • experience with an interpreter

The study will include meeting over Zoom.
