Mission and Goals

The Office of Student Learning Outcomes Assessment (SLOA) provides leadership and centralized support for assessment processes focused on fostering quality learning, promoting academic excellence, and advancing institutional effectiveness. We collaborate with the campus community to establish meaningful, manageable, and sustainable student learning outcomes assessment practices.  

Student Learning Outcomes Assessment objectives or outcomes are:

  1. Support program and institutional level assessment processes (planning, implementing, analyzing, summarizing, sharing and using results).
  2. Support a commitment to a continuous improvement model to advance institutional effectiveness.
  3. Collaborate with colleges and divisions to ensure the university meets the required assessment standards for accreditation.
  4. Implement technologies to support meaningful and sustainable outcomes assessment practices.
