Creating an Institutional Effectiveness (IE) Map

The University Assessment Council (UAC) developed the Institutional Effectiveness Map (IE Map) as a tool to help administrative and academic support units at RIT to facilitate planning and identify measureable goals. One unique feature is the focus on tying results to planning and budgeting processes. The IE Map provides an opportunity for all administrative units to align to their division goals and RIT’s Strategic Plan and demonstrate how they support institutional effectiveness. 

Each administrative unit develops an Institutional Effectiveness Map using their existing strategic plans, scorecard, etc.  This tool is also known as an assessment plan. Maps should align to RIT's Strategic Plan.

Administrative and academic support units in RIT divisions have made significant progress in developing Institutional Effectiveness Maps (IE Map) or assessment plans. For a list of the IE Maps that are completed or in progress, see below:
