RIT enters the Spider-Verse as the Cary Graphic Arts Collection displays the original cover artwork created by Marvel Comics artist and RIT Alumnus Adam Kubert for Spider-Man India. Kubert’s artwork for issues 1-5 of the series will be on display from September 21 to December 15 in a newly dedicated space on the second floor of Wallace Library, The Kubert Lounge and Gallery.

Join the RIT Cary Graphic Arts Collection in welcoming two of the creators of the comic book series, Spider-Man India. Marvel illustrator and RIT Alumnus Adam Kubert BFA '81 has worked in the comic book industry since a teenager, illustrating titles such as WolverineThe X-MenThe Incredible Hulk, and The Avengers. Novelist and screenwriter, Nikesh Shukla is the author of a recent memoir Brown Baby, the young adult novel The Boxer, and the editor of the collected works The Good Immigrant

Kubert and Shukla will discuss their work on Spider-Man India in a moderated conversation at 6:00 p.m. in Ingle Auditorium, followed by a reception and signing at 7:00 p.m. in the newly renovated Wallace Library and The Comics Lounge and Gallery. The event is free and open to the public. Registration is required by September 11.
