Web Standards

The accuracy and presentation of information as published on the web plays a critical role in maintaining RIT's standing as a leading career-oriented university.

The standards help create a framework for proper usage with regard to language, graphics, and navigational architecture on all RIT-related websites, and also detail required elements for sites and pages.

The RIT web standards document was created through a joint effort of several departments across campus. For more information, contact Jared Lyon at

Download the RIT web standards (PDF format).

For RIT’s official standards on graphic identity, grammar, and style, please consult the RIT Identity Manual and the RIT Grammar and Style Guide.
