The University Web Services team is responsible for the strategy, design, development, and ongoing maintenance of RIT’s web presence. This includes the university’s primary websites as well as RIT’s official mobile app.
Our goal is to ensure RIT’s web and mobile experiences are usable, accessible, secure, and consistent, while helping campus partners effectively communicate with their audiences.
What we do
University web strategy and governance
We lead the overall strategy and standards for RIT’s web presence, including:
- Information architecture and content structure
- Design systems and user experience patterns
- Accessibility, performance, and SEO best practices
- Platform selection, integrations, and technical direction
This helps ensure that RIT’s websites function as a cohesive ecosystem rather than a collection of disconnected pages.
Website design, development, and support
We partner with colleges, academic units, and administrative offices to:
- Design and build new websites and web features
- Improve existing sites through redesigns or incremental updates
- Consult on content organization, audience needs, and usability
- Provide guidance on templates, tools, and best practices
